Software Engineers
Ereality Technologies PLC is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Software Engineering graduate to join our core engineering team. You will be working at the intersection of fintech, national-scale digital infrastructure, and gaming platforms. You will not be building "generic" apps; you will be contributing to the backend architecture, secure API integrations, and real-time systems that power critical services for the Ethiopian market. What You’ll Be Doing Backend Development: Assist in developing and maintaining high-concurrency APIs using Node.js, Go, or Java (Spring Boot). System Integrity: Help implement and test secure transaction workflows, ensuring data consistency and auditability (ACID compliance). API Integrations: Work on integrating third-party payment gateways (Telebirr, CBEbirr) and messaging services into our core platforms. Infrastructure Management: Learn to manage cloud environments (Telecoud/AWS/MongoDB Atlas) and monitor platform health, security, and performance. Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and assist in technical documentation to ensure our platforms meet regulatory and industry standards. Who You Are 👉 Education: A recent graduate (Bsc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields) with a strong academic record. 👉Foundation: You have a solid grasp of Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design principles. 👉Technical Curiosity: You have experience or deep interest in at least one backend language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, or C#). 👉Security Mindset: You understand that when dealing with financial data, "working" code isn't enough—it must be secure, optimized, and auditable. Problem Solver: You don't just fix bugs; you investigate why they happened to prevent them from recurring. 👉Technical Skills (Nice to Have) Understanding of RESTful APIs and WebSocket protocols. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Telecloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with database design (SQL/PostgreSQL or NoSQL/MongoDB). Ability to read/debug existing codebases and a willingness to follow clean code practices.
